About Scottish Dancing
Scottish Country Dance is a social dance form a bit like contra, but with more footwork. The name of the game is fun!
This living dance form dates back hundreds of years. To learn more, visit the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
Once you learn the basics, you can enjoy classes, social dances, and balls all over the world. There are several groups dancing in Ohio and the surrounding area.
Our Athens group was new in 2021 and we hope to grow into an official twig of the Cincinnati branch soon. In the meantime, we consider ourselves a leaf of the Columbus twig.
